Our story
Fifty years of port agency work, built on relationships
V. Faytaren Shipping Agency is a single proprietorship registered with the Department of Trade and Industry, owned and operated by Mr. Perpetuo Payumo Faytaren. The business office is the V. Faytaren Building on Highway 54, Barangay Sta. Clara, Batangas City, right by the Port of Batangas.
The agency was established in 1976 to provide shipping agency services: acting as ship's agent, owner's protective agent and charterer's agent on behalf of ship owners, supporting logistics for chemical transport, chartering and dry cargo brokerage, and arranging vessel requirements for crew changes.
Today we act as ship's agent for principals calling Batangas, Manila, Davao, Cebu, Subic, Bataan, Quezon, Poro Point in La Union, Calbayog in Samar, Leyte, Port Irene in Cagayan and other local ports. The agency is registered with the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), holds a Philippine Ports Authority permit to operate as ship's agent, and is accredited by the Bureau of Customs as a shipping agent.
Our working relationships with the port authorities and maritime regulators, including MARINA, Customs, Quarantine, Immigration, the Philippine Ports Authority, the Philippine Coast Guard and the pilots, put us in a good position to serve foreign vessels efficiently at the ports they call.

Protecting owners, charterers and consignees in port
We work to protect the ship owner, the vessel's charterers and the consignees during cargo operations and berth availability at the port, putting their interests first at all times and providing efficient husbanding for a quick vessel turnaround. We also give general assistance in processing the permits each vessel requires.

Faytaren Marine Enterprise
Faytaren Marine Enterprise supplies bunkering services for vessel requirements: automotive diesel oil (ADO), marine gas oil (MGO), fuel oil (FO) and lube oil. It also processes the bunkering permits with the Bureau of Customs, the Philippine Ports Authority, the Philippine Coast Guard and other government agencies concerned.
Working together, the two companies give principals one point of contact for agency and bunkers at the same port call.
